GridPane DMCA Copyright Notice & Takedown Policy

Last Updated: October 28, 2026

GridPane, Inc. responds to copyright infringement notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This policy covers gridpane.com, community.gridpane.com, my.gridpane.com, and websites hosted on GridPane-owned servers, including PeakFreq and fully managed hosting. It does not cover servers owned or controlled by customers or third parties, including those connected to the GridPane control panel. Send notices about those sites to the server’s owner or hosting provider; if you send one to us, we’ll let you know it concerns a site we don’t host.

Filing a takedown notice

Takedown notices must meet the requirements of the DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). A notice that does not substantially include all of the following may not be effective, and we may not be able to act on it:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or their authorized agent.
  2. The copyrighted work you claim is infringed or, if the notice covers multiple works, a representative list of them.
  3. The infringing material and where to find it (specific URLs).
  4. Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for them.

When we receive a valid notice, we promptly remove or disable access to the material and take reasonable steps to notify the affected user or customer. We may give them a copy of the notice, including your contact details.

Counter-notification

If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notification including:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The material removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, mailing address, and phone number.
  5. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the U.S., any district where GridPane may be found), and agreement to accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.

We forward valid counter-notifications to the original complainant. Unless they notify us that they have filed a court action, we restore the material no sooner than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notification.

Repeat infringers

We suspend or terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Misrepresentation and other matters

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

This process covers copyright only. Trademark, privacy, defamation, and other complaints should be sent to [email protected].

We may update this policy at any time.
